The Deputy Sheriffs' Association of Pennsylvania was established to associate ourselves together for the following purposes:
To uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America and the Constitution of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. To encourage and assist in the enlightenment and education of the general public of the duties of Deputy Sheriffs; To cooperate with all duly constituted law enforcement agencies and officers and the general public in all matters of mutual interest, and particular to exchange and disseminate ideas and information, to assist in the detection and prevention of crime and the apprehension of criminals and to strive for the highest degree of respect for law and order and the maintenance thereof. Only sworn deputies are eligible for Active membership, however we offer Associate memberships to family members and civilians who wish to support our organization.
